Speedometer stuck/broke

Speedometer stuck/broke
1974 F100 with speedometer stuck at 75 mph. Do I replace everything between the tranny and dash? any unforseen problems to expect? All help welcome please

Pull the cable out of the tranny, attach a drill driver, and spin it to see of the speedo reacts. Then disconnect the cable from the instrument cluster to see if the speedo gets unstuck.
One way or the other you should be able to figure out which way the malfunction exists... the speedo, the cable, or the tranny.
It's usually the cable.
