New Coil-over decisions... King, Fox or Icon

Hey Y'all,

It's been awhile since I have posted anything; I've been keeping up with some of the current events on this site though.

I've been looking to upgrade my shocks (front & back) and level the truck while I'm at it.

I narrowed the choices down to three or actually two now:

Fox 2.0 Perfomance Series
King OEM Performance Series

Most of my off-roading is on trails and fire-break grades, with shallow mud.
All at low speeds; no high speed antics (I can't afford to be breakin' stuff).

The "wash-board" effect on the fire-break roads; makes me feel like the truck is coming apart.

I contacted Mark at King Shocks, he recommended their OEM Performance Series; it will level the front and I do not need to buy an upgraded control arm, their shock is designed for factory control arms.
This is a plus!

I contacted Ben at Fox, he recommended their 2.0 Performance Series IFP; he also said it's not necessary to upgrade the UCA, but some customers do upgrade the UCAs to help with front-end alignment, etc...

I really don't want to upgrade my UCAs if I really don't need to; especially since my "wheeling" offroad antics are at low speed.

What do y'all think? Anyone install either of these two without upgrading the UCAs? What do think of the offroad ride? Too hard, Too soft?

Thanks, y'all have great one!

I have the Fox coilovers 3.0 with remote reservoirs up front with factory CA's and fox remote reservoirs rear shocks on my '05 Screw. It leveled the truck and rides well in my opinion. My truck is really heavy so they are a bit soft, but much better than the factory setup with a spacer or the Ranchos that were on it previously. I don't drive fast off-road either, but on dirt trails that I take it on I really like this setup. I looked at the Fox, King, and swayaway kits for my truck, I went with the Fox mostly based on how fast they could get it to me. I couldnt have my truck down for long and the Ranchos that were on it spit out the lower bushings and one was cracked.

Thanks for the quick reply.
Your setup sounds real nice!
Using your factory CAs; Were you able to get a good alignment done?
I was looking at Ranchos myself; but from what I've read, they sag when used on 4X4 trucks. I've also heard of Rancho's lower bushings going bad on a few trucks.

The shop I took it to had no problems aligning it back to factory specs. It tracks and drives just as well as when stock on stock sized tires.

I was looking at Camburg UCAs on Stage 3 motorsports site: They have a Q&A section on their site; Stage 3 was answering someone's question about OEM alignment specs.
The Camburg UCAs will not bring the truck back to OEM alignment specs; but it definitely allows for more travel.

I keep reading of "levelling" issues; OEM spec. alignment issues, tie-rod end and CV angles, you name it.

I reading results of "both sides of the coin" so to speak.

Don't really know what to think.
