Cruise control

I got an 03 f-250 fx4. Garage kept 90,000 easy miles. Cruise control has worked off and on for a short while. Cut to the chase. How hard is it to get the steering wheel apart with the air bags in them. Can't tell if it's the on/off switch or the set/resume switch. Don't really want to spend a fortune to fix it. Rather do it myself. Thx in advance.

Wow

Guess I should have done my daily reading before posting. Tried the test procedure and no lights. Speed control servo defective. Where is it located and how do you change it?

Follow the cable from the throttle body to find the servo.

Look for bolts and screws, pretty basic stuff...

There is a self-test diagnostics procedure out there. Might want to try that first, I found it my self this morning. Take to long for me to type in. I did a search on this forum and found it. HTH's helps. Lee
