I have a 95 that is really hard to start and once it is running it has a very rough idle and absolutely no power in gear. In park I can get the truck to rev up to 2,500 3,000 rpm and in gear, it putts along and does not even get to 20 mph. Whats the problem with it. I checked the glow plug relay but I have not had the time to pull the valve covers to check injectors or glow plugs themselves. Please help.
I also need help with my 96 f350 7.3... Someone set fire to the truck and I need seats, dash, dash harness, door panels, column. The, "now called beast", stills runs after the fire. If anyone has anything that will help me get the beast back on the road, it would be greatly appreciated.

Reason: Forgot a few things. Im new to using forums.
Welcome to the FTE brother /sister hood.
On your first truck does it do it when cold or all the time?
If its when its cold a good indication of injector or injectot o rings.
It does it all the time. I did get it started last night but after I let it sit and cool down for about an hour it almost drained the batteries again trying to start.
If you don't have access to a scanner for data , I would start by pulling the valve covers & observing the oil return spill spouts . Make sure they are all evacuating at the same rate. Also , make sure its not low on oil .
What phil said. I did it yesterday. Same scenario as yours. As it turned out the driver side harness came undone inside the valve cover. An hour to get to it, 2 minutes to fix and 20 minutes to put everything back together. If you do find burnt pins I would highly recommend the 99-03 superduty valve cover gaskets and harness from riff raff.
I haven't had the chance to get to work on the truck yet as it is still raining down here in lower Alabama. I will try everything I was to do in the morning providing its not raining.
I do have a different question about a 96 f350 7.3...
Someone set the truck on fire and now I need all of the interior from the firewall to the back of the cab. Is there anyone down this way that can help me get the seats and dash components so I can get the beast back on the road? Its kind of funny that it has been set on fire and hosed down and the thing still runs great and the lights all work. Anything will help.
