Hey guys!!! I have a 1985 Ford F-150 XLT Lariat 2WD Truck with a 3.00 rear end and an automatic transmission. It has an all stock 5.8 Liter 351 Windsor V8 motor in it. I want a slight beefier cam with a little better low end torque and power, but nothing crazy and something that will work with stock heads, valves, rockers, etc. Mainly just a beefier cam in an all stock motor. Can y'all please give me some cam recommendations and links to the site? I also have E5AE-CA heads. Thanks!
Comp cams XE250H, AKA CL35-230-3. Order the recommended Comp 942-16 springs as they have dampers in them. You can change valve springs without removing the heads. Also replace the valve stem seals at the same time. I run that cam and springs and love it, lots of low end torque, very strong mid range and it gets better MPG with quite a bit more power than the Comp 252H it replaced.

If you don't drive on the interstate much and can stand a couple mpg decrease, a rear gear change will give you a better improvement than any cam change. Put a 3.50 gear in it.
I disagree with that. That's why all vehicles they make now have overdrive.
I thought the OP had a F250 not a F150. Never mind. His engine would probably scream it's guts out with the stock 1/2 ton tire size on the highway. For some reason, the faster my engine turns the more efficient and better MPG I get.
