460 Emmisions
Does anyone know where the SV-CBV(soleniod valve-carb bowl vent)electrical plug goes?I swapped in a 460 into my 79 F250 in Calif.Got everything the smog ref wants but don't know where these valves get their power.Currently it's connected to the lead that went to the electric choke on the 351M that was in it just to fake it.Not sure it will fool the ref though and I can't find a shop in Sacramento that will touch it .All seem to pee on themselves when anything involving the ref comes through the door.If anyone has or knows a shop that can handle it please let me know.My appointment at the smog ref is 2 weeks away but I'd like to get this done now.The ref said IN WRITING that ANY shop could test it and gave me the correct calibration schematic for it.But none will so I have to go back to the ref.I've hunted down every piece and installed them.Still can't find a shop to even look at it..and it passed the sniffer test at the ref they just said I had to change a few things.I'm a sheet metal man not a smog tech so if I can put the system togethet why can't a so called SMOG TECH handle it?By the way I sent pictures of it to the Supervisor BAR SMOG REFEREE...He called me twice and helped me get it right...still they pee even with that info.
