2012 E350 Brake Setup Question
I am doing a pad and rotor replace on my 2012 E350. Last night I did the driver's side and it took me a while to find that Parking / Emergency Brake Adjuster and rotate it to get the rotor off. The access hole on the driver's side for that adjuster wheel was on the bottom and easy to get to. On the passenger's side it is on the top and almost impossible to get to and I certainly cannot see in there to find the adjuster.
My question is, are these suppose to be installed inverted? The passenger's side is upside down from the drivers. The drivers is like the picture in the haynes manual and on the justanswer diagram. I bought the van used but it was a rental and I assumed professionally maintained but this doesn't look right. Can anyone tell me if any ford e350 has the parking brake assembly installed inverted on each side? I have never seen this done and before I pull it off I wanted to check. It looks like it is a four bolt installation and square so I am guessing I can flip it. The brake cable is running to the bottom of the assembly not the top...it is just all upside down
