My new ride

So I traded my 2011 ecoboost in on this 2015 V8. I finally found almost everything I wanted without having to order it. I really like the panoramic roof too!

So far I installed the weathertech mud flaps, rear wheel liners, hellwig rear sway bar, 30% tint on front windows, and am currently attempting the autospring 1-1/2 level kit.

Now my problem is that it looks like the bolts off of the strut need to be cut...there was no mention of this though. Anyone have any experience with this?

Here's a shot of my quick lift

Thanks... I was going to go with silver again but I thought this was pretty damn nice looking. Not sure what you mean by how did I spec it out.

Good looking truck! Congrat's,

And, I like the lift as well. In fact, it looks just like mine.

Is something backward with the bolts?

Nope...I ended up putting everything back together stock. Going to look into coil overs instead. Let me just say that I had to disconnect the lower control arm to get the damn strut back in...this was a huge waste of time and a pain in the ***. Had to get the alignment done and was told that both tires were toed out .11, they set both toe in at -.02. Weird because I only messed with the drivers side lower control arm.

I would love a 4" lift, but so far I am having no luck finding a way to do that without cutting anything...which I can't bring myself to do on my new baby.

Forgot to mention, my only concern is with a ticking noise coming from the engine. I took it to the dealer and they say that the heard the noise, but insisted that it was normal valve train noise. Now I dealt with the ecoboost direct injection noise for long enough, but I was a little heart broken once I started hearing this. Especially while going through dunking donuts drive through, which is alot. I am still thinking something is off, but I don't think there is anything I can really do...except get a cat-back I guess.

How do you rate the two engines now that you have had both?

Ecoboost was way more peppy and I loved the turbo sound. The v8 just sounds better and so far it is getting better gas mileage. I was seeing 15 avg in the eco and so far I am at 17 in the v8. I have the 3.73 gears now compared to I think 3.15 in the eco, but could have been 3.3 not sure. The main reason I got the v8 though is because I plan on putting a blower on in the future. That's if my tick noise isn't a hidden time bomb. I wanted to get a few miles on it before I pulled anything large too, but I am guessing I will be missing the eco when that time comes...especially uphills.

gives us a tow report when you can for the differences. I'm considering one and getting out of my 6.7 power stroke.
