Engine cut off 55 mph .

New from VA. , first post . The other day I had been driving about 3 hours and truck went dead then back on ,it happened two more times in about 30 minutes. ( 2001 F 350 Dually 7.3 A/T 2 wd.) . Any ideas ? Thanks ....... Shu

That is your CPS sensor failing.

Pass side under the water pump.

You really need to go OEM on the sensor. If you go after market it won't last and believe it or not when you run your wipers it will cut out the motor as well.

Thanks scottahoe for info. and source, and it was raining both times when it happened wipers on low. I checked with previous owner and he used napa brand.
