I have one sitting in a box that I will install when I tear the top apart. Call Nate at wpe (Windrunner performance). He's on powerstroke.org and a really nice guy.

He will answer all of your questions.

I want to know how the product is holding up, any issues with install, leaks, those kinds of things.

Heard he's a good guy, not in question. If i call, I'll get the standard stuff I already know.

I wish I could help you but it's still in the box. I was going to install it but with the bpd oil cooler I'm doing in two weeks access will be much easier. The ss bracket supplied installs on the degas bottle, all hoses (3) route from the back of the heads back to the fuel bowl tying into the oem return line.

Seems pretty straight forward and simple. Hopefully someone else can chime in. I'll post on the org and see if I can get you more info.

It's a fairly new item in the 6.0 world, so those who would do so probably already have a regulated return installed. You might try over on powerstroke.org to see if you can get any information, Randy.

Well... some serious reading and serious surfing has revealed that a regulated return isn't necessary if you are running an AirDog2 system... which I am. PO didn't do his research and didn't install this correctly either... to bad. He worked at a well know diesel performance shop near my location.... want the name of the shop, PM me.

For you wanting to know types.... the ADII 165 has a built in regulator and it's set to whatever you set it to... mine will be set to 65psi. Once the ADII is installed, you need to block the upper fuel bowl return to tank using a M16-1.50 and remove the spring (blue spring) and brass fitting so the fuel has unrestricted flow. That allows the ADII to give 65psi of continuous pressure to the fuel rails. Once the pump builds 65psi, any excess is fed back to the tank via the return line from the ADII pump to the tank. The fuel line (the return portion of the line) from the upper fuel bowl to the pump isn't needed at all. Just a line from the ADII return to tank. AND the supply line from the pump to the upper fuel bowl remains in place.

Hope this helps anybody running an ADII 165 system.

I'll need to fix my truck's install from the PO as the blue spring is in place on my fuel bowl, I've taken it apart and seen it there.....

This will save me the $$$ of a regulated return, hope it helps someone else.

Joe,
Your RR system will fight the blue spring if what I'm reading is correct. The return from the fuel bowl wont be needed as the RR provides the returning fuel directly to the return line feeding the tank. The lowest pressure will dictate the pressure in the rail and if the blue spring is less, that's the pressure you'll see. The pump should over power the spring IF you block the return coming out of the upper bowl. Check the kit, you should have a blocking plug in it... if not, I'd be asking Nate why not? Reading the installation instructions doesn't mention blocking the factory return port on the upper fuel bowl.

Unless I'm mistaken.

What I thought, you should call. The return from the regulator feeds the line going back to the tank. That would leave the opening for that line with nothing to connect to it... fuel vented by the spring would just pour into the engine valley. It also doesn't mention removing the spring, which would need to happen for the return to do a proper job.... without removing the spring, you get spring pressure unless the stock return port is blocked... that make sense to you?

Excess pressure is vented from the back of the head through the regulator to the return line, you set the pressure by the regulator.
