valentine 1 install question

Anybody on here running a valentine one radar detector?

If so, where did you stash the box and hook up power?

Thanks,
D.

i just keep an eye out and know where cops play hide and seek .. its more relyabile than a radar detector .. cause with one you end up getting complacent and then getting a big ticket

I call them ticket detectors I've written tickets to several folks who were using them. They always seem surprised for some reason.....

I run a V1 in my X. Main unit mounted next to upper console. Power and comm down A pillar. Power tapped from CJB. Concealed display cut into dash. Custom colored LED mods on main and remote displays.

Don't confuse a V1 with a Cobra. You wouldn't get me. I never speed.

Yeah there is a large difference between a Cobra "ticket detector" and the V1 or the new passport models, have you read about the new smart cords for you iphone or android. These things look awesome and real time cop detection on the highway. They will have a hard time speed traping.

mm not really ... cause then your operating a phone whilst driving even if its hands free the only thing that is allowed to operate is a gps app but here in oregon/washington even that is illegal via phone unless it is mounted in a holder

Wow guys, way to completely NOT answer his question and use it at a chance to instead insult the guy asking the question.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised, sometimes I think it takes a special certain kind of person to go into the force. I got pulled over for having my tag 2 weeks dead last month and the officer asked me to bring him my insurance proof, then when I stepped out to hand it to him, he told me he would have legal grounds to shoot me then arrest me. I just had to shake my head. As an attorney, and eventually as a prosecutor, I've seen the good ones and the bad ones and sadly there are far more of the latter than the former and they really mess up peoples lives with that kind of attitude and always thinking-and talking- like they are above the average citizen that pays their salary and looking for an excuse to prove it.

I had a funny one with a police officer......traveling through a small town in a 1970 Monte Carlo last year ( I restore muscle cars) I was on my way back from the Upolstery shop and got pulled over for expired plates.

I got the lecture and the fellow was nice........didn't give me a ticket. the kicker was I had the original plates from 1970 on the car still registered to the current owner. The cop never realized how old the plates really were.
