I read lots of post about hitting a bump at speed and the front end wobbles until you slow down. What I have happening is when I hit a bump, the truck wants to jump to the other lane instead of taking the bump straight on. Sometimes on single lane roads, it can be very scary if another vehicle is coming towards you and the truck jumps over a bit into the other lane.
Would replacing my stock stock shocks and steering stabilizer help? I also know my tires are getting close to needing replacing but never had this happen to any other vehicles I have own.
Depending on the age and mileage of your truck, it could be several things. There are numerous posts about 'death wobble' on this site. Rather than starting a fresh one, I recommend doing a search for the topic on this site. There are literally pages on the subject.
I don't think you are experiencing the death wobble. My 2002 did this when I would hit a good whoop in the road. Real nut clencher when you are going 55 on a 2 lane road pulling 7 tons. Ended up being the sway bar ends and bushings on my rig.

That sounds like what is happening to me. The truck wants to dance over to another lane when hitting a good bump.
Have you considered stopping in to your local Ford Dealer? You may locate one here. Let me know; I'll see how to best assist on my end.

Not yet. No offense but I don't want to go in without knowing anything and the dealer telling me I need, tires, shocks, brakes, ball joints, bushings, etc. etc..

No offense taken, CollinsCD. I'm here if you change your mind.
I have a 2011 F-250 bought used (couldn't afford new) with P305 tires. I have taken it to a local alignment center 4+ times and now have a positive caster of 0.5 degrees. It's much better than it was but without notice or bumps, or bad pavement or any road anomaly at all, it will start shaking and progressively get worse. It becomes so violent that the only remedy is to come to a complete stop. I've replaced the OE damper; installed double Rancho Dampers; rotated tires and rebalanced and still it is subject to the same violent dry shimmy. One more thing: I can drive the same stretch of road that I had the last incident of this nature and all is smooth sailing. I can drive a stretch of road where I've NEVER had problems, and it will shake the steering wheel out of my hands and damn near throw me out of the cab.
Whiskey Tango Foxtrot. P.S. Don't want to hear about oversize tires. I have a '79 Bronco w/ 2" lift and 33X12.50 and a simple damper replacement cured all similar occurrances.

Best line for the day!! Ain't this the truth though lol. If you are specific on what you ask to be checked though I found that Ford won't try to sell you into more things. I do understand though trying to find out what is wrong before you ask Ford look into it. Good luck and sounds very dangerous so I hope you get that fixed. Just reminded me to check my bushings and sway bar links now just to be safe! I'm getting mine aligned in a couple weeks so I will have the shop inform me if anything else needs my attention while they do it. Hopefully not and hopefully the alignment is all I need to pay for
