I have two operating keys for my Excursion now!
RTrud: If you have an ELM327 or ST11xx compatible OBD2 to USB adapter, I have found software that will do PATS programming.

Additionally, this software reads DTCs from the ABS module, the Message Center, the CDS (Crash detection system, AKA Airbags) the GEM, and just about every other electronic module in the Ford lineup!
If you don't have one of those adapters, I can swing by sometime and try mine out on your Excursion. I'm like 5 miles south of you.

Did you use the forscan software to program your new keys?

I've had this scan tool since about 2010; Bought from http://www.scantool.net.
You can probably use a cheaper Chinese clone from eBay or Amazon.

Appreciate the offer... do you have a link of where I can buy the FORSCAN software?

Looks like if your going to use a computer it's free. I actually downloaded the lite for android but haven't played with it yet.

Additionally, there is no way to buy it. It's free!
