I've searched through and can't find anything here, hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I've picked up a 40-20-40 out of a 95 f250 to replace the broken buckets in my 90 f150 xlt. The replacements are power, which mine weren't. Anyone tell me about how/where to wire this in?
from the factory they're just powered by unswitched (constant) power from a dedicated circuit breaker or fuse. At least I think it's a dedicated circuit. Minor point.
The factory harness runs across the floor under the mat/carpet. If it ain't there then just add your own from wherever you like. Personally if I found I had to provide my own wiring I'd check the fuse panel and see if power is available at the appropriate slot (99% chance it is) and then go get the appropriate terminal to fit on the load side of the fuse. Run that into your own harness that goes to both seats and powers them up. Get the fuse panel terminal and both harness connectors from the JY.
I ran my own lead from the fuse panel, but if I used the adjustments much (I pretty much leave them in one position) I would run a new fused line straight from the battery as they draw quite a bit of power.
You may get lucky and have the wire/connectors already installed and stuffed under the carpet. Quite common to find the wires for uninstalled options in this vintage.

Awesome, thank you so much. Will sort it this weekend. Love this forum!
