While you're digging in...

1) pull all four wheels and inspect your brake pad thickness and rotor surface condition,
2) flush the brake fluid,
3) inspect tire tread carefully, AND
4) make sure you have good pressure on each corner (don't just eye-ball the tire height... put a gauge on each on to double check).
5) replace your wiper blades

As for cervesa in Mexico, nothing short of Dos Equis. That Modelo stuff is toilet filler.

Slide pins! This is a task you don't want to do as a solution to a problem with snow and freezing temps on your hands.

I have a contact in Mexico for the best of the German beers...Spaten, Warsteiner, etc. Mexican beers are the equivalent of the worst of American beers with some added caramel for color. I will be sitting about a 1/2 mile from the best Tacos al Pastor in Sonora .

As a newbie, keeping it simple -bought some DieselKleen in the silver (watching the forecasts).

I use the silver blend down here all the time, I think you need the white jug (anti-gel) and maybe a small red jug just in case up there in Maine.

I don't get much of a winter down here as we go from 100+ in the summer to 50-60's in the winter but people around here still complain. As I don't plan on driving out of the area this year, just routine stuff throughout the year like I always do.

My POS factory GPR crapped out after only 500,000 miles. I've been putting off changing it, but guess I should since winter is coming.

Although I really like the sound of Neal's plans better.

If you have the glow plug module I can't help ya.

Don't forget to throw an inline fuse in that puppy close to the relay.

I always fuse my links (actually I usually use the inline circut breaker blocks that self reset after the fault has stopped, or the smart glow fuses)

as for the module any pictures of where the relay sits and looks like? how would I know if I have a relay verses a module?

I assume this is what I want to tap into??

Modules are found in all California Destination Trucks and in all Excursions

GPRM:

Glow Plug Relays are found in the remaining 49 States Destinations"

The Difference is the Module can control 1, 2...., or 8 at varying times. The Relay is On/Of.
