Manual or auto tranny? The 85 would have a T19 manual tranny, with a removeable bell housing, which will bolt to the stroke. But you will have to find a clutch that will fit the stroke flywheel and the t19 input shaft as it is smaller than the zf5. The same would apply to the C6 auto tranny, it will bolt to the block, but the torque converter is different between the 2 autos.
