T-17 Question
Hey guys
My brother's father in law offerd me a trans yesterday. He told me its a T-17 bolted to a 351/m. Im sure i can rebuilt it im just worried about converting Jessi back over to a standard. She originally came with a 240/3-speed but had a 390/c-6 shoehorned into her. the hole for the clutch is still there. I have to admit i have no idea about how the clutches are set up in these trucks. I have no problem with a manuel clutch i just need to know about torque converters and clutches bellhousings. Basically everything needed for the swap. Other info on the truck:
-3.73 gears
-stock powerplant
-dynomax headers(fitment prob?)
sorry about the essay but i really need to know if this tranny swap is something i should look into.
