Matrix paint system is made by Valspar, a quality manufacturer. IMHO you likely should go with what ever paint system the painter is most familiar and comfortable with as long as from major manufacturer, and it comes in a color/finish you like. Asking him to use products he may have no experience with means he will be learning that product's characteristics on YOUR truck.

My jobber carries the Matrix line...I haven't used the paint but I have used their wax and grease removers. It is my experience that most modern paints on the market today have a very high standard of quality, even the lesser known brands. I use House of Kolor because I have used it for years with great results. I have used PPG, even back in the days when it was Ditzler, but the prices are absolutely ridiculous for PPG these days. HOK used to be expensive but it's a bargain compared to PPG now.
