16x6 rims

Hey Folks,

I have a question regarding the rim size & availability. I have a 72 F250 with 16x6 rims. I understand these are probably not stock. I think stock may have been 16.5 split rims. In any case, I would like to get a spare rim (for my spare, which is missing.)

Is 16x6 easy to come by at the wrecker? How much are they worth? Would it be better to just buy new?

BTW, these steelies have an 8 lug pattern... Did Ford ever use 16x6 in the same pattern on any of it's newer trucks?

What are your thoughts?

Thanks for your time,

John Anderson

Econolines make excellent donors for F250s... My yard asks $40 for a wheel with a mounted tire. The hubcaps came out to $2 each... of course they didn't look like that when I got them. There's alot of work in them caps!

Hence...

16x6 isn't so common as 16x7. Which will still be fine for a spare.

You can use F-250/350 wheels up to 98, and Econo 250/350 wheels to 2013. You cannot use 99+ SuperDuty wheels as they use a 170mm lug pattern, not the regular 8X 6.5" pattern.

Hio, your Calypso Coral F-250 looks so nice with the paint buffed out.
