Wheel size?
I have a 1982 F250 4X4 with what should be stock wheels. What size wheels are these, and is it a split rim (what is a split rim) and if it is a split rim a friend at work told me some garages can not install tires on them. I want to purchase a wheel and tire since the spare is missing.

on the F250's they where 8 lug 16x7.5 unless it's got 16.5 rims. Check the numbers on the side of the tire to find out if there 16" or 16.5". Most all stock 16" rims are 7.5" wide, The 16.5" where usually 8.75" wide. no they wouldn't be a split rim. They where found on your F500 and such trucks. Whichis a bigger bolt pattern then a f250 or F350. Split rims will have (what looks like a snap ring) on the outter bead of the rim.
