hey guys so I did my front brakes this past weekend and the driverside pads are not seating on the rotors correctly as the pic indicates. now I don't think it's a caliper issue but I'm not sure.
I did not use ford parts just local auto parts store brand the one thing I noticed is the pads were very difficult to get into the caliper bracket do you think throwing a set of ford pads on will fix this?

As pads wear the pistons extend further out. Did you press them in to fit around the new pads? I watched the video but I don't have audio. I would assume he had to do the same thing unless Ford has a different method to get the pistons to move in. All I know from watching the video is it looks like the easiest disc brake job ever. Personally when it comes to brakes I either stick with OEM or a higher quality aftermarket setup. I have not had good luck with auto parts store rotors and pads.
After watching the video there is an inner and outer pad. Sounds like you put the inner pad where the outer pad goes and the outer pad where the inner pad goes.
I will double check the pad placement ASAP I never had the grind or rub the guy in the video talked about the only thing wrong with the truck is the outside pad is not making full contact with the rotor... the inside pad is
