Shock lengths

I know the topic of shocks has been beat to death a bunch of times

I am currently running Bilstein heavy dutys front/rear (blue and yellow ones). I installed them the week I bought the EX and that was before all the spring mods and the increased ride height 50k miles ago. The current shocks are for a stock height EX and currently my rig is about 4" over stock height and they need to be replaced. Question is this. with the EX having about 4" lift and no signs of over extension (think Ive been lucky so far) on the stock height shocks would you be comfortable installing shocks intended for 0-2" lift height.

The front Bilstein 5100's are available for 0-2" lift or 4-6" lift

Your Bilsteins need replaced? They come with a lifetime warranty, just to let you know.

Your question has been answered many times. The stock length ones would be fine. however, my front Bilsteins were recently replaced by the body shop when they melted my blue/yellow ones. They told me that particular model is no longer being made, so they upgraded me to the 5100 inverted shock for a 2" lift.
