Need help! eratic temp gauge
Im working on a 2005 f250
2wd 5.4 3v truck.
I installed a long block jasper and having problems with the temp gauge, for some weird reason it keeps climbing to the red mark and keeps beeping and the display says check gauges. I was not having problems with the old engine.
The engine is not running hot for a fact, what do you guys think it is.
I have two codes p1285 & p1299 i know there was a tsb on this but like mention earlier, the old engine never had this problem.

and, exposed wires were touching the cyl head grounding them. Thanks for the responses gents.
