Hey guys I have a 1972 F100 and I'm more than positive that the fuel and temp gauges don't work and the dash light doesn't either and I was just wondering what I could do to fix that? And the second thing is my brake lights don't work but my parking lights, indicators, and tail lights work and I'm pretty sure its just the switch and all I would need to know is where the heck its at?!

The brake light switch is on the brake pedal assembly, if you can not find, that could explain why the brake lights do not work. There should be a two pin connect hanging around some where under the dash.
HIO nailed it, you have to check some things before throwing a lot of parts at it. Have you checked the fuses, fuseable links, or circuit breakers yet?
