Does anyone know where I can pick up a vent window lower pivot pin for a '52 F1? My vent windows and all components are in good shape, except the upper pivot cup is broken and the lower pivot pin is sheared off. I have found sources online for the upper pivot cup and the vent window frame without pivots, but no lower pivot pin.
Is it possible that the lower pivot pin for 1953/55 would work? I noticed that Oscar, Kurt and Ilya have posted a few times on this topic, but I did not see that they commented on a source for this lower pivot pin.
If not a pivot pin are there any full frames (driver's side) with pivots that someone is open to parting with?
Also, can anyone confirm that I will need to remove all the door glass and division bar to replace the pivots? Would that also require replacing anything else, like the seal?
I`m using the ones from mid fifty
and they seem to be working fine. my biggest problem is the vent window rubber seems too stiff and makes closing my windows very very tight. If I already had AC I would have went with the single side window kit.
