Custom fit aluminum angle for the front of the cover . It will be encased in the cover . The red material has a foam back on it so no chance of marring the paint . The long solid aluminum rods will slide thru the wood end pcs., along the inside of the bed rails ( inside a long hem of the cover which will be inside the bed roll ) & exit out thru the hole in the aluminum angle clips will hold it on .

Upholsterer is stopping by fri. morn to make some more test fits on the material .Got caught in a brief shower w/ the stock truck this evening . Came away w/ 3 positive results .
1. test run on the front & rear windows in rain - no leaks .
2 . Test run on the wipers - perform as expected .
3 . Washed off the dust & wiped clean .
All ready for the car show sat. at the local bowling alley . Will report back sat. eve. w/ pics .

Preliminary test fit of pcs. The alum. angle will be encased in the foam padded material . Had to remove the foam from the pocket that the alum. angle goes in . Distance between cab & box is tight . Alum. rods attached as planned . May need to remove foam from wide pockets that extend up into the bed roll . Everything works of the center line of the box . The bed roll pockets are being sewn now . .The last item will be the rear maple brace .

Car show sat . at the local bowling alley .Will post some pics .
