When I left work last night the navigator display was fine. After about 1 minute of driving the abs and advtrac lights started to come on then go back out. Evuntally they would stay on. After about 15 minutes of driving when I would stop at a stop light the truck would act like it was losing power. The main cluster shut off. After driving it came back. Another 10 minutes of driving and the entire truck shut off. I didn't have enough power to restart truck or roll up windows. When running the self diagnostic the charging system said OK. I jumped it this morning and drove it 5 minutes home with no issues. The abs and advtrac lights are not currently on. Any thoughts would greatly help. I'm trying to take it to auto store to test and try to find codes.
No that is the hilarious part. No other lights were on. When you hit setup then reset it will run a self check of the engine. It checks fluid levels, engine and oil temp, charging system and suspension. Everything was good except advtrac. Took it to Advanced Auto today and report said alternator is putting out 10.7 volts. Figured that would be a charging system problem but the truck disagrees. Lol. Changed that and system is charging at 14.2 volts. Will need to drive it and put a strain on system to see if it's fixed.

The charging lamp only comes on if the alternator is not putting out any voltage. But the PCM seeing only 10.7 volts should have at least raised the idle speed to ~900 RPM to try and compensate.
If your new alternator puts out 14.2 volts with a load (do you have air suspension?) on it you should be good to go.
