There is no doubt that the PHP Hydra will help your truck perform better, by 60-80 hp, on stock injectors, which is very noticeable and fun. Just make sure everything else is healthy before purchasing/installing the chip. Matt @ Gearhead is hard to beat with his tunes on the Hydra.
Do you know if the truck has stock injectors? My truck is basically bone stock and I am wondering if a chip would help me. I know I need to change the exhaust to 4 inch but I am thinking a chip would help also. The PHP can be tuned through email which would probably work better for me down the road.
After that I got home and my LED bulbs for my dash showed up. So I pulled the dash and replaced all the bulbs to red. I like red, red doesnt mess up night vision, honestly I dont know why all dashes arent red from the factory.
I also changed the HVAC controls to red. Pic didnt show up though.
That looks good! Would you post a link to the LED's for the dash?

My truck is tentatively up for sale but I continue working on it. If I could do it all over again I would have looked for one with way less rust. No one is breaking down my door to buy the truck though so I may look into a 4 inch exhaust and the PHP Hydra chip.
Rust can be repaired and stopped. I restored an old rusted out K5 blazer a few years back. It was alot of work, just depends on if you want to do it, knowing how to weld helps too though
I wanted to put new running boards on my truck. The pinch welds are rusted out really bad to the point I should remove the stock running boards. That's how bad the rust is. I'm looking for running boards that attach to the frame if I keep this truck. I am still reading up on rust repair but I can't do anything until spring/summer now.
Coat all that rust with fluid film, that will at least stop the progress of the rust til you can get to it. I used wd-40 rust inhibitor which is the same thing really. But you get a little less for a few more dollars, however i found it at lowes. Fluid film i would have had to order online and i didnt want to wait.
On another note, for those keeping up with this thread from the start....Grandpa passed away this morning. I think he died of broken heart. Been an awful year for my family, My sister in February, My grandma one month and a day ago, grandpa this morning. Im ready to get this year over with.....

My local Lowes carries this in stock so I'll give it a try. I couldn't find a minimum suggested temp to spray in the specs. I'll check the can when I go to buy it.
Sorry for your loss man. I now it's hard on the heart brother.
Thanks fellas, were losing the best generation this country ever had imo, but he had a good life and saw some amazing things, 1926-2015....on another note. Got the new tires on. Treadwright wardens, 285-75-16.
Sorry for your Losses this year. Sure is tough to lose the ones we Love. But man I now enjoy the memories with my own family. My grandpa's are a big part of who I am today. Gma's would be proud of there great grandkids.
On happier note the truck is looking great!
Couple questions.
Did you peel off green covering on guage cluster to get the red to where it is?
Do you plan to blackout your chrome at all?
