Got a new truck the other night- I was driving along, and the odometer was all 9's, and a little tilty... Next thing I new- POOF! ALL 0's! I now have a very low mileage, brand new 1991 F-150...! Well, the odo only shows 30 miles...
Actually, congrats to my happy old truck- She just his 200,000 miles on Monday night! I love this truck
<p>congrats on the new truck!!! <img alt="Okay!" src="https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/images/smilies2/thumb.gif" style="height:18px; width:25px" title="Okay!" /></p><p>i love when mine do that. <img alt="Big Grin" src="https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif" style="height:16px; width:16px" title="Big Grin" /></p>
Yeah I think all pre-1992 trucks had five digit odometers. I've had my share of old Ford roll overs, but none of them are in the prestigious 200,000 club yet. Right now, one of my very oldest Ford's reads only 16,000 or so.
So the 91 and older body style odometer displays only 5 characters? (Not counting the tenths.)
Correct. And that is where people get confused. Just because the odometer does NOT show more than 100k does NOT mean the truck doesnt have WELL more that that
My mom has a 1994 Explorer that has a 5 digit odometer. It just hit 200k miles about a month ago. I just did an oil change on it the day before yesterday and the odometer showed 00490.
