Yes. There were no factory exceptions for that. If it is still there, it will be right below the alternator. If it was removed, you should ensure that all of the air injection tubes and/or ports are plugged.

Nope, you're wrong here. The factory 1997 CA spec OBD2 460 had no air pump. It was replaced with an idler pulley.
