5.4L 3V Preventative Mods

Hey there, I have been searching for a couple days on this issue and haven't found all the info I would like. I have a 2005 5.4L that was hit a couple of times this year and rather than fix it I bought a really nice fully loaded 2004 F150 5.4L with cam seized in the cylinder head. Both have under 140,000 miles.

I plan on swapping my "good" engine into the new truck. My running engine has new plugs and coils, runs well, but does have the classic diesel noise. I have purchased new timing chains, tensioners, guides, phaser "lockouts", and am getting a custom tune from 5 star. I also have JBA stainless headers on order.

What else can I do to try to get at least another 60,000 miles out of this engine? I am a bit freaked out because upon further inspection the blown engine has new timing chains and phasers. I understand that aftermarket filters tend to cause plugged oil passages. Does anyone have an oil system diagram where I can try to check for any plugging issues? Where does the restriction usually occur? A new or rebuilt engine isn't in the budget at the moment. Thank you for any help!

Make sure to get the 1999 cast iron tensioners. The 3v ones are plastic junk. Check out thread, lots of good info there.
