87 F600 Carb

Does anyone know what carb fits on an 87 F600? Mine sat for a long time and got burned up from backfiring.

In order to look up the carburetor, I need the ID tag number, as there are 4 possibilities.

Triangular shaped ID tag number on the top of the carb, retained by a screw.

If the tag is missing, I need the Calibration Code, located on a decal (yellow or white) on the valve cover, or on the radiator support, in front of the radiator cap.

Code could be 9-83H-R11 or 5-83H-RO or 5-83H-R10 or 7-83H-R10

Parts catalog does not list the CFM and California uses 3 additional carbs, not used in the other 49 states.

When Ford went to Calibration Codes beginning in 1983, it made it very difficult (sometimes impossible) to look up carbs and emission related parts, because they are only listed in the code charts.

I usually don't mess with these parts when members ask about them, because it's a royal PITA!
