Truck not regenerating ehaust

Its been quite a while since I was here. Last winter I pulled something and getting out has been difficult. Climbing in my F 350 even tougher so it hasn't been used much. Now that I'm driving a bit I have not seen it regen. Has any one else had there truck stop regenning and is it possible? What happens if it just stops? It use to regen every 200 miles or so and I have been paying attention. Any thoughts.

Mine will regen every 500 miles or so typically. I have missed seeing the message flash on the dash a couple of times, but I can usually tell by seeing the instant mileage drop. If you don't have a CEL, I would think it is working ok and perhaps you missed it. Sorry you got hurt. Hope you continue to recover.

Its really going to depend on your driving habits how much it regens. If you drive highway and get it up to temp with high egts then I find mine regens less.If im just doing short distances over and over it will regen more independent of the mileage. But on avg mine will regen atleast once and sometimes twice per full tank of fuel.

Don't worry about it. due to my driving conditions I only regen every few thousand miles (for an active regen).

It will do it when it is time.

Scott nailed it here.....I just made a 3000 mile trip, half towing about 7000 lb and half just running bobtail down the freeway, and my truck did one re-gen at around 2400 mi into the trip!

I have only driven it about 25-50 miles at a time with no load. Just put 13 gallons of fuel in it, first time since Jan.

I agree. And a lot depends on the driving and quality of fuel used. Dirty fuel = more regens.
