SD v10 tractor pulling
The truck had 18.5K miles on it at the time. It was a dedicated plowing truck for a county .gov parking lot. My reason to pull it, I wanted to break anything that might need fixing while the weather is nice. Yeah, it's low mileage, but it had some major rust issues in and under the bed from the salt spreader.
I pulled 240 feet on a dry/dusty track. I pulled in 4 Low in the 6300# class although I was slightly over 6300 with a full tank of gas, B&W hitch and Western Ultra mount brackets up front. I took up the slack, put the pedal to the floor and tried to hit as many "shiny" spots on the track as possible. On our track, shiny meant harder ground.
It was my first time pulling any kind of truck and for 10 bucks, it was worth parking in the pits. I came in 9th out of 16 in the class against diesels and trucks with some subtle pulling mods. I don't think I'll pull again but I was impressed with the results.
