Got a SMF conversion kit for my 96 for my 5 speed swap (everything to put a standard in, clutch, throwout, etc. etc.). got it all apart, and the damn flywheel doesnt fit!!! the center for the crankshaft is too big, the flywheel wont go on! Is it the wrong flywheel even though its for the same year?? Help needed ASAP! dont have time to be putting it all back together for one stupid thing.
Yep. I did the same thing on my swap. Tried and tried to get that flywheel on, called Rebilld and he set me straight. Pull that spacer and it should be smooth sailing.
I had the same problem with mine. Once that spacer is off, it should go right on.
Figured it out after reading about 20 pages of your thread. Yours was the only one that went in depth with that cause you had the same thing. Haha thanks everyone! Got the flywheel and clutch on last night, no problems after that stupid spacer! Haha
It was good help, i read further just to see if there was any more screwy things that you ran into. I got the tranny bolted on, mount situated, driveshaft on, wiring set up, master and slave cylinder hooked up. it starts up no problem i just need to bleed it. been having a problem getting it bled. tried for about 2 hours tonight and just couldnt get it. tried 60 different ways. i didnt have a diaphragm in the resevoir when i was bleeding it, dont think that would matter would it? ill post a new thread asking. Thanks though Buckhammer!
