Looking at a Dana 60 front axle and the manual hubs are attached with three cap screws. Does anyone have any info on what years it came that way? It is a ball joint 60 but I have not seen locking hubs like that before.

And did they have the locking hubs attached with three screws?

I would also like to know this. My D60 was swapped in and is the balljoint style, numbers are illegible. Any other way to know which year of balljoint D60 it is?

Not without looking at the casting date. They used a different caliper design in the later years but that could've been altered.

The 3 screw caps came out in 95. But that means NOTHING, they are interchangeable with the 6 screw ones

85.5-91 are king pin with pin on calipers
92-94 are ball joint with pin on calipers
95-97 are ball joint with bolt on calipers
