Axle ID

95 F350 4wd What axle do I have??? I thought it was a 60 but it has ball joints and I thought all 60's had king pins???
Do locking hubs allow the front axles to free spin or do you have to have one of those expensive free spin kits??

You have a 60. They switched to ball joint in the 90's sometime I think, don't know when for sure. I can't tell you for sure on the hubs

I thought it was a 60. I see those free spin kits advertised all the time but they are about 2K. I like my auto hubs, but I would put some manual hubs on to save fuel and wear.

Dana 60 went to ball joints in 1992.
