OBD II / Tunning / Diagnostics
Question to all you guys out there. I have a OBD to computer/USB hook up. I was wondering.
A) has anyone had any good 7.3 programs tools/diagnostics that have worked?
B) is it possible to Buzz test from your PC/cell phone?
We should have a sticky on DIY diagnostic stuff. I mean HP programming I can understand is a proprietary $$$ thing.

Torque seems to be gaining ground and is possibly the least expensive way to get in.

I found this one today that can do a Buzz test engine off. And a running contribution test on the injectors! It is kinda basic looking interface at best. But it did get the job done. For a free ware I can't complain.

Forscan YES it can. I think it was the clipboard on the right and then click the thing that looks like a Play button. Look for the Injector buzz test click it, It will tell you what to do.
I was so excited I didnt do a very good job posting that clearly. But it does do both. CT and BT
Don't get me wrong I am still getting the Torque pro and all for the gauges and all the PID stuff. But that Forscan would ID a bad injector for you. I had my #8 replaced and it showed up again. But it is running good after the test so something is weird. I am waiting for the cold weather to come to get a good cold reading some morning. Thats when they show up lame on a BT.

Exactly why I wanted to do it this time as the Ford dealer did it last time, ended up replacing #8. And still has not fixed it. Good point Cleatus

Tried forscan, difficult to get it to connect to dongle and when it did it wouldnt recognize vehicle.
Toggling back and forth Torque would connect without issue every time

I totally fudged up I started running all these numbers in the Torque program. I was all excited like a kid with a new program. Going all Crazy and stuff.
