I know this is not F 150 related, but is--indirectly. My son and daughter-in-law just bought their first "new" (to them) car--a Ford Five Hundred. It has the keypad on the door, but the used car dealer didn't know the code. Is the code hidden somewhere on the car itself? Or are we going to have to go to the dealer for it? It was a fleet car so I suspect the original factory code was never altered......
somewhere in the 500, there is a little square computer module. It will have the original code printed on a label that is attached.
They can find that module, or they can go and pay dealer about $100 to get the code retrieved.
either way, the original code cannot be changed. it will always work. so as soon as they get it, they can program their own custom code (how to in owners manual).
FYI, the one for your truck is on the back of the cab behind the rear seat
The code is located under the dash on the driver side, about knee level on the left side of the steering column. It's on the top side of the large "black box". You can either remove the screws and lower the unit to see the code, or use a mirrow(pain in the ***!). The code should be 5 digits. When you get the code you can then add another code, but the original is always active. Check the manual for more info.
