Open Connector

hi all,

i have this open connector on the passenger's side of the engine compartment. it looks like but IS NOT a fuel injection plug. I'm guessing that it belongs to canister purge solenoid maybe but i can't find any info on what is supposed to be over there? the wires coming out look green and red it is a 1990 f250XL 460 zf5 4x4. th
