Ok, so now that my steering issues are resolved I have a new issue I need to fix. The rubber on one of my molding strips has come out and I need to know the correct way to get it back in. It appears it would need to 'slide' in so does that require me to remove the molding? If so, what is the correct way to remove it so I don't damage it.
You might get lucky trying to gently work the trim back into the slots...seat the bottom of the rubber strip, then the top side.
There are two small Phillips head screws, one on each end of the rubber strip that holds the strip to the aluminum trim...so...if you don't luck out, you'll need to gently remove the whole trim piece to get at the screws.
Heat gun sounds like a good idea. I think this happened during our heat wave when temps were running 105+ for a few weeks. If I have to take the whole trim piece off, how does it come off?
