Egr code
Ok well I bought a 2011 f250 6.7 a week ago and I love the truck. It has 43000 miles. Well today I got a code of P0405 which is egr code. My question is do I just go and delete the egr or do I get it fixed? It only has warranty for another week or so. Also will this code cause any damage? Thanks

I have the 5 year 100,000 mile warranty from my he factory and I thought I was told it was powertrain warranty. So I didn't think that would cover the egr. I'm going to call the dealer I bought it from later and find out. I have heard alot of people deleted them.deleting seems to be the cheaper route just don't want to hurt the truck

I think it would be covered as the truck needs it to run.
Warranty is covered by the part number. Have the SA look it up.
In order to delete the EGR you would need a programmer and also a DPF delete.
