Owned my 07 since new and currently have 267k miles on it. Had the head gaskets fixed under warranty around 80k miles. Couldn't get the dealer to do the ARP head studs since it was warranty. I'll also note that I had not bee using a tuner up to that point.
They have now blown again which I half expected although I made it a lot further on the 2nd round. I think this had a lot to do with the fact that I started using a tuner around 90k miles which took the egr valve out of the picture.
I am debating on the head studs. I know it is the better choice, but taking into account my current mileage and the fact that I went 180k on the 2nd set, I was debating if it was worth the extra $425 for the ARP head studs.
I would throw the Studs in if it were me. If you look at how far you made it on your 2nd round you did fairly well, but if you throw in studs along with the egr delete and good tuning you should get quite a bit more miles than you did.
Since you are going in their now to re-do it, now would be the time to add them, to add them later would be a pain. It will be a little bit of $$ pain now for the studs, but combined with new gaskets and the delete.... you should get some really decent miles out of it....That's my two cents for what it is worth
