Well, at a whopping 37k my truck has been diagnosed with blown head gaskets. The good news is the dealer is not only willing to install ARP studs, but actually recommended them before i could ask. They said the only catch was that if there were further problems with the gaskets or studs while still in the warranty period, they wouldn't be covered. But with studs, i shouldn't have any more head gasket troubles theoretically. What confused me was that the service writer was referring to head gaskets that he was saying were made by ARP, and that they were available in a kit along with the studs. Has anyone else heard of this kit? And if so, where can one get it? I can't seem to find it online. And if ARP doesn't make a head gasket, is there one i should go with instead of the stock Ford?
ARP studs work good with stock gaskets, I have that setup in mine and trust me, it doesn't get an easy life. Plus I think I read somewhere that a stock gasket will make up for tiny imperfections in the head whereas the aftermarket ones won't, please correct me if I'm wrong someone but I'm sure I read that.

That is particularly true with the hypermax gaskets. You have to make darn sure that you got everything just about perfect or else you'll be redoing it. I still use stock gaskets with everything in my siggy and I have no problems(so far), I doubt that the OP will either unless the OP intends to go above and beyone what I have done(and alot have so that isn't beyond the realm of possbility) in order to really need to go to aftermarket gaskets.
