I decided to buy a diesel again but i have questions about winterizing it. I am looking to buyanother super duty but i travel for my job and i wont be able to plug it in when stayingin hotels all week. What things can i do to make sure my truck will start in the mornings,or should i just buy another gasser?
A lot of guys up north have the 6.7 and so far I've not heard anyone tell me their truck would not start at -20f or so without being plugged in...
Where are you located?
I'm in central Illinois but I travel all over for work. So the 6.7 is t too hard to start in the winter huh? I know my 6.0 was a PITA when it was cold. That old beast left me stranded numerous times.

Iv'e started mine in - temps numerous times with out any issues at all. Wait for the glow plug light to go out and start it. If it's real cold it will high idle on it's own for 5-10 minutes, just wait for the idle to come back down and drive it. My only concern with cold temps is the fuel waxing or gelling. If you drive it every day not much of an issue, if it sits for days at a time you may want to consider and anti-gel product, which one to use is another thread entirely. Iv'e read that the glow plugs run up to 3500 F in seconds to aid in cold starting, I don't think you have anything to worry about.
I bought mine last December and like you I travel for work. Had no problems starting in -20 temps and wind chills of -40. Make sure you use an additive.
the reliability of batteries factors how often they are discharged, how deep, and what percent of charge were they when discharged.
having more batteries provides more crank amps while not deep discharging and cranking when not fully charged and reducing the extent of deep discharging.
