I will be leaving my new 6.0 at the Airport parking lot this upcoming week. Obviously no where to plug in. Will I have any problems starting after sitting for 10 days? I usually keep it in the garage so don't have to worry about cold. Low temps are usually in upper teens, low 20's this time of year.
I dont think you should have a problem.I have been up north with mine and have never had to plug it in.The temp during xmas was in the mid teens..You should be fine...
Already started mine when it was -4 with out being plugged in sitting overnite started fine. You could cycle the glow plugs a few times before you start.
No, I don't think you will hear a complaint about cold start of the 6.0. Mine has been excellent. Started after sitting overnight in -15* without being plugged in. I let the glow plug light go out, waited another minute or so, cycled the key, let the light go out again and it fired right off. PS I'm in Minnesota, and it does get cold here every now and then.
I left mine for a month (while overseas) in the driveway and at -20F started no problem. No plug in. I know it was hard on the motor but just wanted to see if it was going to turn over. Kind of a test.
