Aftermarket CAC
I'm thinking about either Banks or Mishimoto for my 05 Ex EB. Any feedback or opinions would be great.

OEM filter is the best unless you plan on mega HP. Your engine and turbo will thank you.

I think either is a good piece, but I also think the Mishi will allow you to use stock plumbing vs. the special stuff the Banks takes.

What do you intend to gain by doing spending your money on either of these pieces?

I believe he's talking about the actual CAC, not a CAI/filter. Did the factory piece spit the seal out? I'm not sure the factory CAC is a significant restriction, but a larger size unit could transfer more heat maybe. I've got the Mishi Radiator and have been happy with it. I would probably go with them just for continuity if mine ever craps out. Not an inexpensive piece but I hate all the plastic crap under the hood of modern vehicles, designed to fail in my opinion.

Who makes that cold-side setup? I need a new cold-side tube, and trying to decide what to replace with. Seems like you can't go wrong with "shiny"
