Red face any suggestions?

i have a 95 explorer. i just replaced the fuel pump, inertia switch and relays. befor i put the thing all the way together, i started the car several times. then after i put it back together, it wont start now. it sounds like it wants to. does anyone have any suggestions?

You will have to go back to the point where you were last able to start.. then connect one step at a time until you get a NO START.

Did you verify the inertia fuel pump switch is not tripped? If not tripped, then check for voltage to and from the switch. If you do not have voltage to the switch, no point yet in dropping the tank to access the new fuel pump. If you have voltage to the switch but not from the switch, then you need to troubleshoot the switch.

Keep in mind that you will need to cycle the ignition with a delay between successive measurements since the pump is only told to prime the system, not run continuously until the engine is running.

A voltage tester is your friend, check for where you loose power. The last component after you loose power is the culprit or where the open circuit is.
