Ok guys... I'm tired of having to screw with my locks EVERY TIME I move the truck. I have a 1 year old and it's a PITA walking around the truck twice when I forget to hit the unlock button when I get to daycare, or get home, or the store... etc.
Is there a way to reprogram so I can get rid of this function.
Had this in my notes, not sure where I got it:
1. Ensure that the anti-theft system is not armed.
2. Turn the ignition to the 3 (off) position. (One "click" up from when you put key in).
3. Close all the doors, liftgate and cargo doors.
4. Enter the 5-digit entry code.
5. Press and hold the 7/8. While holding the 7/8, press and release the 3/4.
6. Release the 7/8.
The horn will chirp once when the system has been successfully deactivated.
The horn will chirp twice (one short and one long chirp) when the system has been successfully reactivated.
Sorry I didn't get back to this post after the answer. Thanks ranagent!
yes I'll drive with the doors unlocked. It was that way for 100 years, why does it make a difference when on a Ford you pull the handle and it unlocks anyway....
if I'm dropping the kiddo at daycare, I leave the truck running....
Also. get out, drop your keys in your pocket, now you fill your hand with whatever to carry into the house... then go to the back door to grab more... and I can't get in. Now I have to transfer everything out of that hand, into the other so I can unlock the damn door, then transfer it all back....
