Bent drivers seat.
I didn't really notice that it was bent when iy was in the truck other then on longer road trips my neck and and back was getting fatigued, just figured that was part of getting old. Then I went and test drove a Ex for a buddy of mine and it felt different but i chalked it up to having less milage and nicer seats.
fast forward to yesterday when i pulled the seats and carpet out to clean. and it was readily apparent the drivers seat back was bent. So i pulled it apart and low and behold you can see the bent gusset and throwing a few squares on it you can see how much it is off.
I am going to throw it in a press and straighten it out for now but will start looking for a new back or complete seat.

I have my doubts about the dynamat as it is not really designed as a sound barrier product but I had it left over from a project so I didn't really have much to lose, I will post up results in a few days.
What gave me the idea was I Came across an old ford service bulletin for in cab engine noise and it said to check the sound mat against the firewall to make sure it was properly in place. I figured if a stock sound mat that had become unattached could let in excessive engine noise then possible some additional material would help.m will will find out.
I sprayed some Purlple Power cleaner on the carpet and seat belts and used a nylon scrub brush from the kitchen to scour the carpet stains, then just pressure washed it. It came out amazing.
I also scrubbed the leather seats with purple power and the scrub brush and wiped it off with a clean , lots of clean rags. Seats didn't look that bad, well they didn't until I cleaned the first section and realized they were tan and not brown. Lmao. Seats look in redible. I also cleaned all the trim pieces. It is amazing how well the textured tan trim pieces hid dirt.

If I were to go out an buy a sound barrier product I would consider the dynapad
Dynamat.com | DynaPad for Automotive and Restoration
But like I said I already had the mat.
